Gazer

It's good to stop and take time to gaze at things, to pause, to observe, to breathe. Hope you're doing the same!

Little Devil

My little twist on Valentines Day. I think it's as dark as my illustrations have gotten. lol. See his cute little skull pin cushion! This reminded me that even the most grumpy creatures have hearts that need tending to. This was a pencil illustration that I digitally colored. I'll be hand painting some watercolor greeting cards with this illustration this evening and they'll be listed in my shop hopefully by tomorrow until then a larger print is available in my shop: GumballGrenade.Etsy.com

Also, I am so giddy right now because one of my prints was selected as one of Daniellex0's favorites in the EtsyLoveChallenge:

"Stick It!"

This illustration was so fun to create! It started out as a pencil sketch of the bear and I thought "well why does he look they way he does?" Well he must be accident prone. So then I thought let's have him reaching for a beehive. Well suddenly he became a bear with a very, very, bad idea. He grabbed a stick and started reaching for the hive! That answered the question as to why the bear looked so bumbled about. His deductive logic isn't so good! I think this bear will have some more adventures in the near future. Prints available in my Etsy shop: GumballGrenade

Lil Pirate Arrrrrgh!

I created this little guy last night at the kitchen table after the wee ones went down. There is just something about pull toys that are so charming! So why not a little boy playing pirates and dreaming of being a captain of his own crew. Kind of reminds me of my dad and his wish to sail around the world. This could be him as a boy. Available in my Etsy shop :)

Muddy Illustration

Currently I am in love with my watercolor, pencil, and micron pen. I painted this last night and for those of you who know me I definitely expect to see this scene in real life in the near future. Would that be a case of life imitating art? Anyway this is one of my original illustrations titled "Muddy". It was painted using watercolors and ink. It features a cat (maybe JuJu Bean) that has been into mischief and his playmate (E???) who is going to attempt to give the cat a little bath.
